La Viarte Friulano 2022 is a distinguished white wine from the esteemed Friuli Colli Orientali DOC in northeastern Italy. Produced by the La Viarte estate in Prepotto, this wine showcases the elegance and complexity of the Friulano grape, formerly known as Tocai Friulano.

Winemaking Process

Grapes are hand-harvested from vineyards situated at an altitude of 150–200 meters above sea level, with eastern and southeastern exposure. The soils, known locally as “Ponca,” consist of layers of marl and sandstone. After a soft pressing, the must undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine rests on its fine lees for six months, followed by a minimum of three months of bottle aging before release.
