At Donzella Wines, we bring you authentic Italian wines hand-selected from small, passionate wineries across Italy, the kind you won’t find on supermarket shelves. Our mission is simple: to share the real taste of Italy with our community here in Olney and with wine lovers across the UK.
A Family Story, Rooted in Italy
Donzella Wines is a true family business, Dad, Mum, Daughter and Son, all in it together.
Born in Benevento, deep in the heart of southern Italy, Giovanni grew up around vineyards, food, and family. After working in the most renowned restaurants, he brought his experience to Olney and opened Donzella Italian Restaurant.
Over the years, customers kept asking where they could buy the wines they enjoyed with their meals. The answer? Giovanni’s personal favourites, sourced directly from the small Italian wineries he knows and loves.
So as the restaurant grew, so did the dream of sharing those wines beyond the dinner table. Today, Donzella Wines offers a curated collection of premium Italian wines online, all selected with care, integrity, and a lifetime of passion.
And in true family-business spirit, everyone plays a role. Giovanni manages the wine selection, his daughter, Gabriella runs the restaurant and his son Nicholas has taken over the wine business and helps Giovanni manage it’s day to day operation, while his wife Julie helps out packing the orders to send out.

We operate a strict identification procedure to ensure every purchase is sold to a customer of age. Nothing personal. We just want to ensure that our wine is in the right hands, as we sell some strong stuff.
