The Poggio Sant'Enrico Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG from Carpineto presents itself in the glass in a wonderful and intense red and inspires with its lush aromas of blackberries. These are accompanied by fine nuances of blueberries, vanilla and walnuts.
On the palate, this red wine from Tuscany reflects the aromas already perceived and is expressive and powerful. The vines for this 100% Sangiovese red wine grow on a south-facing slope and soils with clay and sandy strata.
The fermentation for this Italian red wine takes place with autochthonous yeasts in small vitreous concrete fermenters with a 12-day maceration at a controlled temperature of 25-30°C.
This Sangiovese was then aged in small 225 liter American and French oak barrels for about 12 months and then bottled without further treatment.
What makes a wine a real Cellar Classic? From time to time we find ourselves marvelling at the creativity of the wine grower we always look to enrich our taste buds with something rather remarkable and share this with you.
