Picollo Gavi DOCG 2024 – Elegant Italian White Wine (75cl)

Experience the refined elegance of the Picollo Gavi di Gavi DOCG 2024, a distinguished white wine from Piedmont's esteemed Gavi region. Crafted exclusively from 100% Cortese grapes, this wine embodies the purity and sophistication characteristic of its terroir.

Tasting Notes:

  • Appearance: Pale straw yellow with bright greenish reflections.
  • Aroma: Delicate scents of citrus, green apple, and white flowers, complemented by subtle hints of almond and wet stone.
  • Palate: Crisp and refreshing, featuring flavours of lemon zest, green apple, and pear, balanced by vibrant acidity and a pronounced minerality, leading to a clean, elegant finish with a touch of salinity.

Winemaking & Terroir:

Produced by Picollo Ernesto, a family-run estate nestled in the rolling hills of Gavi, the vineyards benefit from a Mediterranean-like climate with constant maritime breezes. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 18°C, preserving the wine's fresh and fruit-forward character. The estate's commitment to traditional methods and minimal intervention ensures a wine that truly reflects its origin.

  • Seafood dishes, particularly shellfish and grilled fish with lemon sauce
  • Light pasta dishes, such as spaghetti with clams or seafood risotto
  • Fresh salads and soft cheeses like goat cheese or mozzarella
